3rd May, 2009, during the first live Sunday service, Prophet T.B. Joshua revealed a prophecy regarding an Asian nation, mentioning the day of Wednesday. Find below his words:

Later on that day during the second live service, T.B. Joshua again made reference to the prophetic message: Remember the message given in the morning.

On Wednesday, fast and pray for this personality which is being traced till now. And I see on Wednesday.

Again, two weeks later, on Sunday 17th May, 2009, Prophet T.B. Joshua explained more about the vision that God had revealed to him. He said:  I’m seeing they were looking for something. Something people are inside it.

After some time, they find the thing but they couldn’t find life there again. ‘S’, ‘S’, ‘S’, ‘S’.

In confirmation of the prophetic message given, Wednesday 20th May, 2009 marked the historic end of a brutal 25-year insurgency for an independent Tamil state in the Asian nation of Sri Lanka that has left more than 70,000 dead. The personality concerned, the notorious Tamil Rebel Leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, was confirmed dead.

The prophet referred to an Asian country and emphasised the letter ‘S’. In direct confirmation of the prophet’s words, the revelation concerned an Asian country beginning with the letter, ‘S’ - the country of Sri Lanka. The death of the rebel leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran marked the end of what was reported to be the longest-running civil war in Asia.

In an effort to trace the rebel leader, on Saturday 16th May 2009, Sri Lankan soldiers cornered Tamil Tiger fighters in an assault on a small plot of coastal land. It was the last remaining coastal stretch under the control of Tamil Tiger rebels before army divisions advanced from the north and south to close in on the rebel stronghold. By Sunday, the rebels had decided to silence their guns as government forces moved in on where Tiger leader, Prabhakaran was believed to be in their attempt to trace him.

Prabhakaran started his wave of terror 26 years ago, when he was just 18 years old pioneering the use of suicide bombing as a tactic, using women in suicide attacks and according to the FBI, invented the explosive suicide Belt. His rebel group had been declared a terrorist organization in 32 countries causing world governments to trace the Tamil Rebel Tigers who are fighting for an independent Tamil state.

Wednesday, 20th May 2009 was a day of victory in the nation of Sri Lanka as Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, declared it to be a national holiday, to celebrate the end of the country's 25-year civil war against the Tamil Tiger rebels. It is time for Sri Lanka to build "a new country ... a new nation," he said, calling "the defeat of Tamil terrorism ... a victory for the Tamil people." A short time after the presidential address, the military announced that the 53rd division led by Major General Kamal Goonarathne had recovered the body of Tamil Tiger founder and leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. In direct confirmation of the prophet’s message, that they will get him by Wednesday, on Wednesday 20th May, 2009, it was revealed and celebrated that the rebel leader  had indeed been traced and killed.

Velupillai Prabhakaran was indeed a personality, just as Prophet T.B. Joshua had said. As the founder and leader of the Tamil Tiger Rebels, the only terrorist organization to be behind the assassination of two world leaders, the former Prime Minister of India and the then President of Sri Lanka, he has been wanted worldwide. News of his death was met with shock. The "psychopathic leader of the world's most barbaric terrorist outfit ... has been found," confirmed Gen. Sarath Fonseka, commander of the Sri Lankan army. A spokesman for the UN declared, "Today we have been able to liberate the entire country from the clutches of terrorism. We have been able to defeat one of the most heinous terrorist groups in the world."

“I’m seeing they were looking for something. Something people are inside it. After some time, they find the thing but they couldn’t find life there again.” The details of the capture of Prabhakaran were exactly as the prophet had said.  Government reports state that Prabhakaran was riding in an armour-plated van with several top deputies and rebel fighters headed directly towards the advancing Sri Lankan forces. After a two-hour firefight the van was hit by a rocket killing most if not all of the occupants and ending the battle. When the troops found the remains of the van, there was no life inside just as Prophet T.B. Joshua had prophesied. Troops removed and identified the body of Prabhakaran aswell as 19 other senior LTTE leaders, the defense ministry said.

We pray for the country of Sri Lanka, her leaders and her citizens and for the 265,000 people that have been displaced in the wake of the 25 year civil war. As they enter a new dawn in their history, may God be their strength and be their Guide because on our own strength we cannot rely. By the acting of faith, we must fetch in grace and help from Heaven to enable us to do that which of ourselves, we cannot do.
