Prophecies 09

  "ASIAN EARTHQUAKES"

In Jesus name. I’m seeing a land open. What is happening? Why are people sinking? The same Asia place.  Let’s open our lips and pray. Fast on Friday. Open your lips, pray.

On Sunday 15th March 2009, the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a message of prophecy concerning events that would take place in an Asian nation. He said:

“In Jesus name. I’m seeing a land open. What is happening? Why are people sinking? The same Asia place.  Let’s open our lips and pray. Fast on Friday. Open your lips, pray.”

In stark confirmation of the revelation, on Friday 17th April 2009, two earthquakes devastated the eastern region of Afghanistan claiming the lives of at least 22 people and leaving hundreds of homes destroyed.
True to the message of Prophet T.B. Joshua, the quakes took place in Afghanistan, an Asian country that has recently been at the centre of world media. The events took place on the exact day of the week given in the prophecy, on a Friday – Friday 18th April 2009.

During the early hours of Friday morning, just before 2am, two earthquakes hit and devastated the district of Khogyani in Nangarhar province near the Pakistan border. Reports from the US Geological Survey said the first measured 5.5 on the Richter scale. The second came two hours later and was a magnitude 5.1 aftershock. Police launched a rescue operation to search for the dead and injured among the rubble of flattened homes. Local authorities confirmed that at least 22 people had died in the quakes, which struck about 50 miles east of Kabul. A provincial official in Jalalabad said that he feared the death toll could go higher. The Afghan army has also been deployed to help with rescue efforts, said General Mohammed Zahir Azimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense.
Let’s recall the words spoken by the man of God. “I’m seeing a land open. What is happening? Why are people sinking?”

Precisely as Prophet T.B. Joshua had said, the land opened, damaging property and seriously affecting at least four of the local villages, killing at least 22 people. It is reported that crowds had gathered for the first funerals even as some families continued to search by hand through houses that had been reduced to jumbles of mud and broken wooden beams.

We thank God for the prophetic revelation shown to the prophet of God, T.B. Joshua. We pray for the victims, their families and loved ones, and all those who were involved in this tragic disaster, that God would speak strength and courage into their lives and comfort them in these troubled times. In these troubles times, we must depend on God’s Spirit for strength and assistance. He is ruler over all. He holds strength and power in the palm of His hand to build up and strengthen all.
